Marian "Lucille" Nelson, 85, Maryville, Missouri, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at St. Francis Hospital.

Lucille was born December 5, 1925, in Ravenwood, Missouri to Roy E. and Clara L. Lame Brandt.

A graduate of Ravenwood High School, she was a retired Recorder of Deeds for Nodaway County.

She married Edwin "Miller" Nelson June 12, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Lucille was a member of the St. Gregory Catholic Church in Maryville.

Preceding her in death: parents; husband Miller Nelson (March 8, 1986); son, Jon Q. Nelson; and brother, George E. Brandt.

Survivors include: sons: Michael W. (Joni) Nelson, Keller, Texas; Patrick W. (Pam) Nelson, Maryville, Missouri; daughters: Palmer Eckert and Cindy Gray, Maryville; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law: Cleola Brandt, Ravenwood, Missouri.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 9, 2011, St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, with inurnment to follow in Ohio Cemetery, Burlington Junction, Missouri.
