A homemaker, Laura’s passion was spending time with her husband, kids and grandkids. She was a member of the Albany First Presbyterian Church, the LLL Club,
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Harriet Jane McConkey and brother: George F Bower.
Survivors include her husband: L. D. Young, of their home in Maryville; her children: Mindy Young and Matt (Cathy) Young, St. Joseph, Missouri and Mike (Michelle) Young, Burlington Junction, Missouri; five grandchildren: Courtney (Stephen) Young Flanery, Kansas City, Missouri; Catie Young, St. Joseph; Jordan Young, Maryville; Chase Young, Burlington Junction; Claire Young, Burlington Junction; a brother: Harold (Barb) Bower, Mt Ayr, Iowa and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation is 6-8 pm Thursday, August 19, 2010 at
Funeral Services will be 10 am Friday, August 20th at
Mrs. Young’s body will be cremated following the service.

Located approximately 45 minutes North of St. Joseph, Missouri, via Interstate 29 North to US 71 North (Exit 56A), Price Funeral Home is located at the corner of First and Market in Maryville, Missouri.
Coming from the South: Stay on US 71 North (1st stop light) to the intersection of MO 46 & US 71/136 Highways (2nd Stop Light). At the light turn left onto MO 46 West, continue going straight West 14 blocks. Turn left on Market, and the funeral home parking lots (upper and lower levels) are to the left.
Coming from the North: Stay on US 71/136 South (1st stop light) to the intersection of MO 46/US136. Merge right onto MO 46 West, continue straight on First Street traveling 14 blocks to Market (turn left), and the parking lots are on the east side of Market Street.
Coming from the East: Stay on MO46/US136 West (1st stop light), continue straight on First Street to the intersection of Market Street. Turn left and the parking lots are on the left.
Coming from the West: Stay on MO46 East (First Street), continue on through 1st stop light (First and Main), go one block East, turn right on Market, and parking is on the left.
