Stella Marie Farnan, 89, Maryville, Missouri, died Friday, August 6, 2010, at Memorial Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

 Stella was born August 27, 1920, in Conception Junction, Missouri to John Emmett and Margaret Gertrude Cocoran Brady. She married George Edward Farnan on November 18, 1941, in Conception, Missouri.

 A graduate of Conception High School, she was a homemaker.

 Surviving are children, Jim (Jean) Farnan, Barnard, Missouri, Patricia (Patrick) Cleary, Chesterfield, Missouri, Rita Marie (Steve) Ballard, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Steve (Julie) Farnan, Guilford, Missouri, and Marcia (Richard) Pierson, Mason City, Iowa. She was blessed with fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, her pride and joy. She is also survived by three sisters, Eileen Schieber, Stanberry, Missouri, Emerita Farnan, Weston, Missouri, and Rosalee Wilmes, Maryville, Missouri and one brother-in-law, Raymond Schuster, also of Maryville and many nieces and nephews.

 Stella was a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Community following her membership at Immaculate Conception in Conception, Missouri. Stella Marie enjoyed walking, gardening, sewing, cooking, and baking. Each child and grandchild cherishes the quilts she made.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, George Farnan (April 16, 1972), parents, two sisters Gertrude Schuster and Sr. Margaret Brady CPPS, and three brothers Robert, Donald and Edmund Brady.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

 Visitation will be 600 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Parish Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, August 11, 2010 at St Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Thursday, August 12th at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville, Missouri with burial in St. Columba Cemetery, Conception, Missouri.
