Viola Marie (Wilson) Joy 92, of Kearney, (formerly of Conception Junction), Missouri passed away Monday, January 25, 2010 at Lawson Manor and Rehabilitation, Lawson, Missouri. She was born April 11, 1917 in Conception Junction, Missouri the daughter of Chester Earl and Bertha Jane (Alsbury) Wilson. A graduate of Conception Junction High School, Viola married Ray Stanley Joy on July 6, 1935 in Maryville, Missouri. Mrs. Joy was a member of the Northland Christian Church, North Kansas City, Missouri and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Stanley Joy, on February 14, 1998 a son: Gerald Douglas “Jerry” Joy, on June 2, 2009; a brother: Melvin Wilson and two sisters: Margaret Herndon and Alice Farnan. Survivors include her six sons and their spouses: Gary (Sandy) Joy, Albany, Missouri; James (Patty) Joy, Rogers, Arkansas, Mark (Charlene)Joy, Jamestown, North Dakota; Ronald (Ruth) Joy, Kearney, Missouri; Richard (Sharon) Joy, Lawson, Missouri and Dwight (Judy) Joy, Flemington, Missouri; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister: Fern Moad, Albany, Missouri and daughter-in-law: Annie Joy, Santa Anna,California. Visitation will be Noon to 1pm Friday, January 29, 2010 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri with Funeral Services at 1 pm. Burial is in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the Northland Christian Church, 6120 Northeast 48th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64119.

Located approximately 45 minutes North of St. Joseph, Missouri, via Interstate 29 North to US 71 North (Exit 56A), Price Funeral Home is located at the corner of First and Market in Maryville, Missouri.

Coming from the South: Stay on US 71 North (1st stop light) to the intersection of MO 46 & US 71/136 Highways (2nd Stop Light). At the light turn left onto MO 46 West, continue going straight West 14 blocks. Turn left on Market, and the funeral home parking lots (upper and lower levels) are to the left.

Coming from the North: Stay on US 71/136 South (1st stop light) to the intersection of MO 46/US136. Merge right onto MO 46 West, continue straight on First Street traveling 14 blocks to Market (turn left), and the parking lots are on the east side of Market Street.

Coming from the East: Stay on MO46/US136 West (1st stop light), continue straight on First Street to the intersection of Market Street. Turn left and the parking lots are on the left.

Coming from the West: Stay on MO46 East (First Street), continue on through 1st stop light (First and Main), go one block East, turn right on Market, and parking is on the left.
