Shirley Margaret Gray, 93, Maryville, Missouri, died Monday, May 21, 2012, at the Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville.

Miss Gray served as an executive secretary at Northwest Missouri State University for 21 years prior to retiring in 1980. She was born November 22, 1918, near Maryville, the daughter of William Leroy Gray and Nettie Amber Purviance Gray, both of whom preceded her in death.

A 1935 graduate of Maryville High School, Miss Gray was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kendall Leroy Gray and Garth Granville Gray. Shirley attended First Baptist Church, Maryville.

She is survived by one niece, Maureen (Mrs Elmer) Handke, Marshfield, Wisconsin, one sister-in-law Shirley Knox Gray, Marshfield, Wisconsin; and friends Bob and Carolyn Henry, Maryville.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 10 AM, June 7, 2012 at Miriam Cemetery, Maryville.
