Charles Edwin (Eddie) Hilsabeck, 74, Barnard, Missouri died Sunday May 6, 2012 at his home in Barnard, Missouri.

Eddie was born June 18, 1937 in Barnard, Missouri, the son of the late Ivan Warner and Jessie L Wohlford Hilsabeck.

He was a graduate of South Nodaway High School, Barnard, Missouri, class of 1955.

Eddie was united in marriage to Rita Jeanine Mann on October 21, 1961 in Gower, Missouri. She preceded him in death on May 16, 2005.

Eddie was a retired truck driver having driven for Crouch Brothers and Ryder-PIE Freight Lines. He was a member of the Teamsters Labor Union. Eddie had also served in the Missouri National Guard.

Eddie was a born again believer and follower of Jesus Christ.

Eddie was an avid hunter and fisherman who truly loved the outdoors. He also loved spending time with all his grandchildren and attending all their activities.

Others preceding him in death were son-in-law Kevin Bauman; two brothers Ivelle and Courtney Hilsabeck; sister-in-law Susie Hilsabeck and a nephew Roger Hilsabeck.

Survivors include: two daughters, Darbi Bauman, Rosendale, Missouri, Kami (Johnnie) Hubach, Rea, Missouri, two sons Kip (Cyndi) Hilsabeck, Raymore, Missouri, Grady (Lisa) Hilsabeck, Barnard, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Taylor, Payden, Quayde, Brody Bauman, Jordan (Hubach) and Stuart Shifflett, Jacob, Josie and Jackson Hilsabeck, Malainee and Baylee Hilsabeck; two brothers Gary (Marilyn) Hilsabeck, Barnard and Alan Hilsabeck, Maryville, Missouri and Deloris (Billy) Shelton, Maryville, sister-in-law Marillyn Hilsabeck, Barnard, brother-in-law Gary Mann, Agency, Missouri, sister-in-law LaDonna (Gary) Aebersold, Agency and many friends, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Tuesday, May 8 at the funeral home. Burial: Barnard American Legion Cemetery, Barnard, MO.

Located approximately 45 minutes North of St. Joseph, Missouri, via Interstate 29 North to US 71 North (Exit 56A), Price Funeral Home is located at the corner of First and Market in Maryville, Missouri.

Coming from the South: Stay on US 71 North (1st stop light) to the intersection of MO 46 & US 71/136 Highways (2nd Stop Light). At the light turn left onto MO 46 West, continue going straight West 14 blocks. Turn left on Market, and the funeral home parking lots (upper and lower levels) are to the left.

Coming from the North: Stay on US 71/136 South (1st stop light) to the intersection of MO 46/US136. Merge right onto MO 46 West, continue straight on First Street traveling 14 blocks to Market (turn left), and the parking lots are on the east side of Market Street.

Coming from the East: Stay on MO46/US136 West (1st stop light), continue straight on First Street to the intersection of Market Street. Turn left and the parking lots are on the left.

Coming from the West: Stay on MO46 East (First Street), continue on through 1st stop light (First and Main), go one block East, turn right on Market, and parking is on the left.
