Robert Wayne Stump, 79, Maryville, Missouri, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Parkdale Manor Care Facility.

Robert was born May 13, 1932, in Dudenville, Missouri to Christopher and Faye (Hutsel) Stump .

As a young man Robert worked the Kansas wheat harvest. He also worked for various farmers in the area and baled hay for many with his pride and joy the WD45 Allis Chalmers tractor. Robert also had worked for the Gage's Fertilizer Company at Barnard.

He was a Maintenance Worker with the Missouri Department of Transportation, retiring in1994 after 24 years of service.

Robert was a kind and loving man. He liked to ride horses. He loved all John Wayne movies and country music. He was of the Baptist faith and was always ready and willing to assist anyone in need of help.

Preceding him in death: his wife Lois (Landess) Stump, two sisters Myrtie Stump and Nadine Cumsey.

Survivors include: his loving companion of 13 years Beverly Grimit, Maryville, brother, Chris Stump and Phyllis Whitmore, Decatur, IL, sisters, Barbara (Monte) Spry, Jasper, MO, Eva (Eldon) Vaughn, Inola, OK and Velma Lawther, Broken Arrow, OK, four children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and lifelong friend Foster Scott, Augusta, Missouri.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the American Legion Cemetery, Barnard, MO. Friends may call anytime at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville. .
