Mildred R. Carmichael

Mildred R Carmichael age 91, born March 31, 1920, at Hopkins, Missouri to Boyd Wray and Nellie Leota (Auten) Mahan passed away on December 10, 2011, at St. Francis Hospital, Maryville.

Mildred graduated in 1938 from Maryville High School. She attended Northwest Missouri State Teachers College, receiving a teaching certificate. Mildred taught at the Pickering, Missouri grade school for two years. She then worked at Citizen's State Bank for three years and one year at the Office of Price Administration.

Mildred was a member of the Wray Memorial United Methodist Church in Hopkins, Missouri.

On October 19, 1945, she married Edwin M. Carmichael who preceded her in death September 29, 2007. She is survived by sons Mark (Cynthia) and Martin Carmichael of Maryville.

Graveside Services and Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Nodaway Humane Society.
