Dean Edwin Peter, 83, Skidmore, Missouri died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at his home.

Dean was born June 29, 1927 in Skidmore, Missouri, the son of Ralph Leroy and Merdith (Stevens) Peter. He graduated from Skidmore High School in the class of 1946.

On August 24, 1947 he married Eva Mae Hammond in Skidmore, Missouri.

A kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather, Dean was a member of the Skidmore United Methodist Church. He worked as a Union Pipe Fitter and farmer, which was the love of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter: Cindy Peter.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Peter, of their home; his children: Linda (Verlin) Long, Maitland, Missouri; Karol (Jerome) Wilmes, Skidmore; Jan (Christine) Peter, Bolivar, Missouri; Randy (Brenda) Peter, Skidmore, Missouri; Deana (Dale) Watson, Savannah, Missouri; 16 grand- children; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers: Ralph Peter Jr. Aurora, Colorado and Jerry Peter, Maryville and sister: Dorothy Culp, Maitland; nieces and nephews.

 There will be no formal visitation. Funeral Services will be 2 pm Saturday, October 23^nd at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville.. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore.

Memorials may be made to the Tri-City Nutrition Site, Maitland, Missouri.
